The work of the Office of Equity Diversity and Inclusion is made possible with the support of the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) council, the Student Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (SEDI) council, and the campus EDI Liaisons.
The EDI Council is comprised of a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students across campus. The council provides advice and consultation to the Chancellor’s cabinet from an equity perspective on policies, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, the council serves as an avenue for members of the university community to gain support in elevating equity and inclusion concerns.
The SEDI council is an integral part of creating a more inclusive and welcoming climate at UW-Parkside. The purpose of the SEDI council is student advocacy. SEDI reviews existing practices that directly affect students and provides a platform for students to voice concerns about campus culture and climate.
The EDI Liaisons are individuals from colleges and offices across campus who keep their respective areas informed of the various initiatives, activities, and programs coming out of the OEDI. Additionally, the liaisons ensure that the OEDI is aware of any cultural or EDI work that is taking place within their areas so we can work together to promote and support those efforts. Below is a list of department and college liaisons:
Ekundayo Akinlade College of Business, Economics, and Computing- (CBEC)
