Strategic Plan 2019-2023 Update Review

The Town is undertaking a review of the existing plan to update and create a draft for the 2023 – 2027 Strategic Plan. Your input is extremely important as it will help shape our priorities for the next four years. The Strategic Plan is a living document that helps shape Council's term goals and defines the Town's objectives and priorities in a realistic, achievable and measurable way.

Take a look at the 2019 - 2023 Strategic Plan, fill out the survey and/or participate in the public workshop.

Wastewater System Construction Update

Construction on the wastewater plant and the main trunk sewers is underway. This will take up to 18 months to complete and there will be traffic impacts on Trafalgar Road, Main Street and the Elora Cataract Trail. Stay up-to-date with the latest information on our website. Check the interactive maps (coming soon on the dashboard) for construction locations, road detours and more. Access to businesses will always remain open.

As part of the Town's community engagement efforts, a Construction Liaison Group (CLG) and a Business Impact Group (BIG) has been established. The CLG represents business owners, residents, school board members, emergency service personnel, County and Town staff and Town of Erin Council.

The role of the CLG will be to ensure community members have a forum to share concerns and to enable staff to respond accordingly to mitigate the impact of the construction project.

BIG is a subset of the CLG with a primary focus on marketing and promotional activities to encourage residents and visitors to shop local and maintain business continuity.

All information related to the wastewater system - construction updates, notices, study documents - is available on the website.
