Eris SOFR sets record

with 22K Q1 ADV

• Quarterly ADV for Q1 2026 climbed to 22,360 contracts ($2.2B notional), up 33% from Q4 2025
• Eris SOFR also set a monthly volume record in March with 44,863 ADV, up 30% from the previous record from December 2025
• Q1 2026 ADV increased more than 150% from Q1 2025 (up from 8,683 contracts)
• ADV growth is fueled by portfolio margining (PM). The CME Group enabled PM in 2023, allowing market makers to net Eris SOFR margin against cleared IRS.
• PM expanded Eris SOFR utility, liquidity, and adoption for bank and non-bank financial companies

Open interest soars,

up 185% from EOY 2024

• Open Interest (OI) grew to 688K contracts ($68.8B notional), a 185% increase from 241K contracts ($24.1B notional) on Dec 2024
• 5-year Eris SOFR OI led the way with growth of 145K contracts, followed by 10-year Eris SOFR OI, which grew 127K contracts 
• Eris SOFR OI has increased through mortgage companies, REITs, banks, and asset managers seeking margin savings and easy access to SOFR exposure
