Greetings!

This year the theme of the Working Waterfront Festival in New Bedford is Tradition and Innovation. Ernestina represents that theme in her lives. Hope to see you there.

Ernestina IS Tradition: Stop by our booth

at Coast Guard Park to see how they fished from a dory "back in the day" and get the

latest on this summer's repairs. The ship is still in the shipyard but they are doing

the last of the caulking and she will be back

in her berth soon. The Festival hours are Saturday September 24, 11 am - 6 pm

and Sunday, September 25, 11 am - 5 pm.

Last Thursday a reception was held to mark the transfer of the Ernestina/Effie M. Morrissey archives to the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth's Claire T. Carney Library Archives and Special Collections by the Schooner Ernestina Commission. More details in the next Update.
