Ernestina Masts Arrive at Historical Seaport's Spar Shop for Turning



Sierra Pacific Industries in Aberdeen, Washington unloaded logs that will become new foremasts for Ernestina. The logs were supplied and delivered by Karl Meier of Birkenfeld, Oregon, and were purchased by SEMA thanks to the generous donations from Ernestina supporters.

$47,000 grant from the DCR



Ernestina has received a $47,000 grant from the Massachusetts Department of Conservation which will be used for work on the mast and rigging.

The funds are available from a 2-1 matching grant; SEMA provided the initial $23,500 for the work. Read the full story in the Standard-Times

The Schooner Ernestina Commission Programming Committee needs volunteers for various events this summer.  Please contact Chuck Smiler or the listed coordinator if you would like to participate.
