As Pastor Bobby shared in the services yesterday, the Ersing Family is in a time of mourning as they lost Joanne's mother, Jean Donaldson, and also suddenly lost their son, Jonathan Ersing, within the same week. We continue to pray for God's strength and comfort to be with the family.
We will be celebrating the lives of both Jean and Jonathan together at a joint memorial service this
Saturday, April 14, at 11am at NSCBC. A lunch reception will follow. Our Deacons have created a sign-up sheet for those who would like to provide food or set-up/clean-up help in preparation for the reception. Please

The family has been very appreciative of the love and support they've received already. They would especially be encouraged by hand-written notes/cards that include Scriptures, prayers, or memories of Jean or Jon. Cards can be either dropped off at the church or mailed to the family: Curtis & Joanne Ersing, 299 Essex Street, Beverly, MA 01915.
Finally, in lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by gifts made in Jonathan’s memory to:
- Bridgewell Autism Services. Donations can be mailed to Bridgewell, Attention: Development & Marketing, 10 Dearborn Road, Peabody, MA 01960 or online at https://www.bridgewell.org/online-donations
- Tim Tebow Foundation on behalf of Jonathan. Please include Night to Shine in the memo as Jonathan was an honored king at three Night to Shine Proms and looked forward to it all year! Donations can be mailed to Tim Tebow Foundation, 2220 County Road 210 West, STE 108, PMB 317, Jacksonville, FL 32259 or online at https://www.timtebowfoundation.org/donate
We praise God that He leads the church to come around one another in the midst of storms. May the Lord strengthen our faith and that of the Ersings during this difficult season.
