Dear friends and colleagues,

I hope you are all enjoying this Fall season and are able to spend it with your loved ones. As the year comes to a close, its crazy to think about how increasingly technological our lives are becoming. This trend of prevalent smartphone and computer use will sure make a significant impact on the housing industry in 2017.

Technology consulting firm Gartner Inc. projects that 6.4 billion connected things will be in use worldwide this year, and will triple in 2020. Your thermostat, alarm system, doorbell, and refrigerator will all soon be networked!

Designer stylists, Nathan + Jac, believe that homes with Nooks and Relaxed Furniture will become more popular as humans react to our increasingly technological lives. They believe there will be a greater desire to 'escape' from our digital distractions.

Innovation at Home is happy to assist you in these popular home renovations "escapism", so you can get ready to go into the 2017 year to an area in your home to escape and refresh.

6 Must-Try Dining Room Trends

Make sure you follow these keys for the Fall:

1. Add Unique Lighting

This serves as a conversation starting focal point and guests will appreciate the design choice.

2. Go Rustic
Give your dining room a relaxed and inviting vibe by adding a rough-hewn wood table.
3. Mix It Up
Gone are the days of a perfectly matched table and chairs. Mix furniture styles, fabrics, and finishes to give your room a less contrived look.
4. Add Benches
Recently communal seating has been rising in the design world. A bench can save space and make the dining experience more intimate.
5. Mirror! Mirror! On the Table!
Mirrored furniture adds excitement to any dining room.
6. Go Big or Go Home
Large-than-life artwork, antiques, and mirrors make a bold and stylish statement. You can hang, paint, or lean against a wall.

Escape and Refresh

Innovation at Home recently transformed a client's Master Bathroom!

We turned it from drab to FAB, leaving our client saying it's
" a resort at home with low maintenance".

Selected materials included...large profile Porcelain tile, Glass Mosaic tile, Quartz stone, and Fusion Pro grout (with this, our client never will need grout to be resealed again).

In addition, storage cabinets are recessed into the wall behind the mirrors!
