A Special Monthly Update

for Our Drop-Off Donors

September 2025

Where Do Your Donations Go?

Ever wonder what happens to your donations after you drop them off? They don’t just sit in a bin—they’re carefully handled by a team of dedicated volunteers. Each item is sorted, sized, and stocked with thought and care, so that when someone in need walks through our doors, they’re met with dignity and hope.

And the impact? It shows up in real lives, in moments big and small. Here are a few stories that remind us just how powerful your generosity can be.

Grandma's Doll

A woman came in seeking help and shared that she was going through a difficult season. As she looked around, her eyes landed on a doll we’d had on display for some time. She paused, smiled, and said it reminded her of her grandmother, who had one just like it.

We told her it was hers to take home. That simple gift—made possible by a donor—brought her comfort in a moment she needed it most.

Sometimes it’s not just about meeting a physical need—it’s about sparking a memory. A familiar object can warm the heart, lift our spirits, and remind us that brighter days are possible.

Because of you, she walked away not just with a doll, but with hope.

I just got a job but...

Not long ago, a gentleman came through our doors beaming with good news—he had just been offered a job at JBS. The only thing standing in his way? He needed steel-toed boots.

Thanks to your generosity, we had just received a brand-new pair—size 13. He wore a size 12, so we paired them with extra socks to keep him warm on the job. The fit was perfect.

He walked out not only with boots on his feet, but with dignity, hope, and excitement for a new chapter of self-sufficiency.

This is the power of your donations. What might feel like “just another item” to you can become the exact thing someone needs to step into a brighter future.

Your Donations Matter

Your donations help us to help our neighbors. We give everything that you give us. Whether it's clothing, small household items, or personal hygiene items, you give them to us and we give them to those who enter our doors.

WE COULDN'T OPERATE WITHOUT YOUR DONATIONS.

THANK YOU!

Another Man's Trash...or Treasure!

You’ve probably heard the saying before—but we see it a little differently. When you donate the items you no longer need, you’re not just clearing space—you’re creating opportunity. Someone else gets the joy of giving those items a new life, and to them, it feels like a treasure.

Our clients often walk out our doors carrying more than clothing or housewares—they leave with a sense of hope and blessing.

By sharing your gently used items, you’re doing more than donating—you’re lifting spirits and blessing families who come seeking help.

And don't forget to do good and share with those in need. These are the

sacrifices that please God. Hebrews 13:16
