April is the Month of Hope

At Esperanza Health Center, the word esperanza means hope in Spanish, and it's at the heart of everything we do. Each day, we strive to bring hope to our community through compassionate and high-quality healthcare. This April, the Month of Hope, we invite you to join us in spreading that hope even further. Your donation—no matter the size—helps us continue serving individuals and families of our North Philadelphia community who need it most. Together, we can bring hope and healing to our community.

Give the gift of hope and healthcare

National Minority Health Month

April is National Minority Health Month, a time to raise awareness about the health disparities that continue to impact racial and ethnic minority communities. At Esperanza Health Center, we are committed to promoting health equity by providing compassionate, culturally responsive care to everyone we serve. This month, we reaffirm our mission to ensure that all individuals, regardless of background, have access to the resources and support they need to live healthy lives.

Congressman Boyle Visits The CORE to Oppose

Medicaid Cuts

On April 7th, Congressman Brendan Boyle (PA-02) visited The CORE at Esperanza Health Center for a press conference to voice strong opposition to proposed Medicaid cuts and reaffirm his continued advocacy for underserved communities in North Philadelphia. In his remarks, Congressman Boyle warned that the proposed federal budget includes the largest Medicaid cuts in U.S. history—a move that would directly and devastatingly impact Esperanza’s patients and many across the city.

Esperanza CEO Susan Post and Suzanne O’Grady Laurito of Catholic Housing and Community Services joined him. Speaking with compassion and conviction, Susan Post said, “These are not just statistics—these are actual people—people that I love.”

Esperanza Health Center remains committed to advocating for the dignity and well-being of every patient and protecting access to essential healthcare services.
