ESSENTIAL CAREGIVERS
Depending on serial testing for residents next Monday, December 21st, we plan to re-start Essential Caregivers in time for Christmas. Fingers crossed!

We ask that you work on the following before then to prepare for this re-start:

1.) Each resident may have TWO Essential Caregivers. If you have not verified this with your loved one's nurse, please do so ASAP by emailing them:

Email Nurse Jen Here
Email Nurse Marissa Here
Email Nurse Amanda Here

2.) If you have not designated 1-2 Essential Caregivers for your loved one, please read the policy and fill out the required quiz and paperwork.

3.) Not required, but if you haven't had a positive COVID diagnosis in the last 90 days (temporary immunity), consider getting tested for COVID 1x/week before visits to ensure the safety of your loved one.

CHRISTMAS
Everyone's biggest question is probably "Can I bring my loved one to my home for the holidays. Per the Minnesota Department of Health, " MDH strongly recommends against families bringing residents of long-term care facilities to their homes during this time. This recommendation applies whether residents have previously been diagnosed with COVID-19 or have recently tested negative for COVID-19. While the Executive Order 20-99 prohibition on social gatherings of persons from more than one household does not apply to people in long-term care settings, it does apply to private homes and other locations outside of long-term care settings." You can read the whole guidance by clicking here.

To align with Governor Walz's Executive order, we are reminding everyone of these details while you make your holiday plans and also discourage clients leaving, whether they have had COVID or not.

DRIVES
Unless a client has a medical appointment, we are not recommending drives at this time.
