CONTRACTOR SURVEY
Survey is intended for contractors conducting work in the North Country/Adirondack region. Responses provide an opportunity to better understand the advantages and challenges associated with attaining and maintaining relevant certifications/credentials in the skilled trades and clean energy industry.

Through these findings, ANCA plans to design programming and offerings to support local jobs and assist equitable access to resources and opportunities to ensure a just transition.
 COVID-19 RESTAURANT REVITALIZATION FUND
The American Rescue Plan Act created the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) a new $28.6 billion grant program, to be administered by the SBA. An eligible business may receive a tax-free federal grant equal to the amount of its pandemic-related revenue loss. $5 billion is set aside for restaurants and food/drinking establishments that had less than $500,000 of revenue in 2019.

Eligibility:
  • Most restaurants and bars that lost revenue in 2020 compared to 2019 will be eligible to apply for RRF grants.
  • Eligible: Restaurant, food stand, food truck, food cart, caterer, saloon, inn, tavern, bar, lounge, brewpub, tasting room, taproom, licensed facility or premise of a beverage alcohol producer where the public may taste, sample, or purchase products, or other similar place of business in which the public or patrons assemble for the primary purpose of being served food or drink.

Eligible Expenses:
  • Payroll costs
  • Payments of principal or interest on any mortgage obligation
  • Rent payments, including rent under a lease agreement
  • Utilities
  • Maintenance, including construction to accommodate outdoor seating/dining
  • Supplies, including PPE and cleaning materials
  • Certain covered supplier costs
  • Operational expenses
  • Paid Sick Leave
  • Normal food and beverage inventory
  • Other expenses that the SBA determines to be essential to maintaining operations

  • Furniture and fixtures
  • Real property

Minimum loan amount: $10,000
Interest rate: 4%
Eligible for profit businesses must employ less than 50 persons
Gross revenue: less than $1 million

COVID-19 IMPORTANT UPDATES
SBA SHUTTERED GRANT PORTAL OPEN
Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. $2 billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees.
DEFERMENT EXTENDED FOR EIDL LOANS
SBA announced extended deferment periods for all disaster loans, including the COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program until 2022. All SBA disaster loans made in calendar year 2020, including COVID-19 EIDL, will have a first payment due date extended from 12-months to 24-months from the date of the note. All SBA disaster loans made in calendar year 2021, including COVID-19 EIDL, will have a first payment due date extended from 12-months to 18-months from the date of the note.
