Greek Culture for Kids
St Paul Greek Orthodox Church is located in North Royalton. 120 or so youngsters participated in a week learning about Greek Culture at their Greek Cultural Summer Camp. One of the activities of the St Paul Greek Orthodox Church Greek Cultural Summer Camp was a visit to the Greek Cultural Garden in Cleveland. There were several activity stations and the kids had a blast. It was great to see the Garden full of kids. See Photos and videos.

One highlight was the performance of a few Aesop's Fables acted by some of the older students. For example, this is a short video of the Fable of the Hare and the Tortoise.

Lithuanian Folk Dance Festival
The Lithuanian Folk Dance Group ‘Svyturys’ hosted the fourth Juventus folk dance festival on Saturday. ‘Juventus’ is a celebration of youth, dance tradition, and Lithuanian cultural preservation. Over 190 people from Lithuania, Argentina, Toronto, Chicago, Cleveland and beyond participated.

Honorary Consul of Lithuania Ingrida Bublys says that: 'Juventus' gives purpose to participating ensembles and expands the focus of the American-Lithuanian community on folk dance. 'Juventus'; seeks to unite an ethnic community and celebrate cultural accomplishments overseas from the land bearing our traditions. In performing traditional dances, participants gain understanding of Lithuanian heritage and directly engage their cultural roots. Dances portray the everyday lives Lithuanians led; content is often from rituals, holidays, weddings and harvests.

We will have lots of photos and videos up soon. It was really something to see.
