Etz Chaim's Comedy Night with Joel Chasnoff

Tuesday, November 13th
Sisterhood Book Club

Rabbi's Message
This week many people observed what is known as "Yom Aliyah".  This recognizes the day that so many people have made the bold step to move to Israel.  This is naturally observed during the week of Lech-Lecha since it was Avram and Sarai who followed Hashem's command to move forth to the land of Canaan.  This was the first Aliyah!
While I may be spending Shabbat Lech Lecha in Israel, I am not (yet) moving there for a variety of reasons.  While those reasons may be good and valid ones, there still is the overarching dream and value that one day we should end up in Israel.

I hope to see you there!

Wheels of Love 2018
October 28 - November 1, 2018
WHEELS OF LOVE is the ALYN  Hospital's largest annual fundraiser.

The annual bike ride brings together Americans, Canadians, Israelis and Europeans who are all passionate about Israel, children and cycling. The ride is a five day moving caravan of love and hope. The money raised through the ride helps offset the staggering shortfall the Hospital has because the amount reimbursed from health insurance lags far behind the actual cost of ALYN's life changing care. The 2018 goal is to raise $3,000,000. We will reach it gift by gift; just as the ALYN children reach their goals step by step.

Please support Etz Chaim members, David Anfang; Paul Glick; and Michael Mamet, by visiting their individual pages below.

Etz Chaim is the only synagogue with riders participating in this event and funds raised are going to help children with severe disabilities.
David, Paul, and Michael are covering all of their own expenses, so all funds go directly to Alyn.
