A Short Summer Vort

This Erev Shabbat is Rosh Chodesh Menachem Av. This marks the beginning of an ominous period known as the Nine Days which will go through Tisha B'Av. For a summary of the special laws for these days, please click HERE .

While we are in a national mourning period which carries restrictions of Simcha , the Nine Days has an added layer of prohibition which relates to "Sakana" or danger. The Talmud teaches us that "Chamira Sakanta M'Isura." When it comes to danger, we have to be even more careful and stringent.

So please be careful.

The Livingston Police Department asks you to remember to lock your cars. Remove any valuables from your vehicles. Especially remember to take your key fobs inside of the house with you.
