Rabbi's Message

This is one of my favorite weeks of the year because I get to head down to our nation's capital and join eighteen thousand of my closest friends as we support the America-Israel relationship. I speak of course about the annual AIPAC Policy Conference.
This year, aside from taking three of my own children, I am pleased to lead our largest delegation to date with over forty members of Etz Chaim who will join me in D.C. I walk away from the conference each year excited and proud of all that we have accomplished.
Of course, amidst the recent political climate, there are those who choose to use institutions and gatherings such as AIPAC for their own political gain, by incorrectly labeling them as racist or bigoted or one-sided. Anyone who has ever been to Policy Conference will soon realize how many different people attend. Communities that represent Jews, Democrats, Republicans, African Americans, Hispanics, LGBTQ - you name it - they are there.
When I was asked to sign a letter of support earlier this week, it was a no-brainer. You can read about the letter HERE and you can see the 347 rabbis who signed the letter HERE . That list alone speaks volumes about the diversity and broad scope of what AIPAC does.
I am proud to be an AIPAC supporter and I am proud of how we as a community stand up for what is right and just.

Shabbat Shalom
