MARCH 7, 2020 | 11 ADAR 5780 | PARSHAT TETZAVEH | PARSHAT ZACHOR
Everyone is concerned about the current worldwide health crisis. As a Shul, we ask that first and foremost, you come and pray for those who are affected. We also ask that everyone use common sense and hygienic precautions when coming to Shul. This includes proper hand washing, sanitizing and avoidance of coughing and sneezing in a way that could negatively affect anyone. Please understand that there are those who may wish to not shake hands or have any physical contact. And finally, if you are not feeling well, as much as you hate to miss Shul, it would probably be best to stay home. Should you have any specific Halachik questions that arise, please consult with the Rabbi.

Rabbi's Message

For a few days at the beginning of the week I had the privilege to once again join thousands of Pro-Israel supporters at the annual AIPAC Policy Conference. I have to say, that I had so much Nachas. I have Nachas that we had the largest delegation ever from Etz Chaim with over forty in attendance. I have Nachas that leaders from our community are recognized in a most public forum whether it was on the big stage or in breakout sessions that were packed with standing room only. I have Nachas that so many of our teens make the effort to have their voices heard while they spend three full days with little sleep listening, learning and lobbying.
Most of all, I have Nachas that there are times when the Jewish people come together. I sat and dined with colleagues and friends who have vastly different views on just about everything, but we still sat together. To me, that is what is most important and what is most lacking today in our world.
I hope that even more of you will join me next year (I have already signed up) at Policy Conference so that you will be part of this movement of true Jewish unity.
Shabbat Shalom
