A Short Summer Vort
Perhaps one of the most famous Jewish songs is the "Bentching" song. At some point in our lives we pick up the familiar tune. Interestingly enough, there is no other tune for this. Parshat Eikev teaches us the importance of the Mitzvah to "Bentch." We give thanks both before and after we eat. It is a very Jewish thing.

As we near the end of the lazy summer months and prepare for back-to-school and the Yomim Tovim, let us not forget to give proper thanks for what was a pleasant and relaxing summer. We sure gave thanks when it started, so we must make sure to have all our thank you obligations covered.

HIGH HOLIDAY TICKETS
Please let us know if you will be at Etz Chaim for Rosh Hashanah and/or Yom Kippur, and how many adults, children and guests you plan to have. All members in good standing and their single children age 24 and under are entitled to a ticket. Please remember to buy tickets for your older children.

Additional tickets for the High Holidays are available for guests or older children of our members and to non-members who wish to daven with us during the High Holidays.

Please click on the attached link to access the form. Please return it by email, mail, or drop it at the office as soon as possible, but no later than September 16th , so that we can have an accurate count and prepare properly for the holiday. If you will be out of town and not coming at all, please let us know. It is important we hear from everyone in some way.

Please note: We will be emailing out separate tickets for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. FOR SECURITY REASONS, THESE TICKETS MUST BE PRESENTED IN ORDER TO ENTER THE SHUL.
