A Short Summer Vort
This Shabbat is Rosh Chodesh Elul. One month from today is Rosh Hashanah. Scary, I know.

While Elul is the last month of the Hebrew calendar, it seems like we are only beginning the New Year. I think this is by design. One cannot simply show up for Rosh Hashanah without some serious preparation time.

We have Elul to reflect, prepare, repent and truly get ready for 5780.

Shabbat Shalom and Chodesh Tov

on the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter Sophia.
Kiddush this Shabbat is being sponsored by the Etz Chaim community
