Special Appeal
Many of our sister and brother parishioners in the churches of our diocese are natives of the Winward Islands where the eruption of the volcano on St Vincent has caused great hardship. Bishop Provenzano and our Windward Island clergy have made the following appeal:


"Thank you for your prayers for the people and government of St. Vincent & the Grenadines as the La Soufrière volcano continues to erupt and cause a humanitarian crisis. In coordination with Fr. Ulric Jones and Bishop Leopold Friday’s office, we have already advanced immediate financial support. I am writing now to invite you and your congregations to join this vital effort.  

I am asking that each parish make a special appeal this Sunday, in direct support of the Diocese of the Windward Islands." 

For those who are coming to worship in-person at St. Mary's tomorrow, there will be a second offering plate in the rear of the church for donations to the relief effort in the Windward Islands. Those who are not coming in-person may mail or drop-off a donation at the church office. Checks should be made out to St. Mary's with St. Vincent in the notation. On Friday April 23rd we'll tally the amount and send in a check from St. Mary's for our total support.
Special Meeting

All are invited to join in a meeting immediately, (maybe with a pause to catch our breath :-) , after the Postlude of the 10AM service. It is a general meeting about our celebration of our parish's 150th anniversary, which is being planned for August 15th. The meeting will be held in the church to save us from moving the screens etc. into the hall.
We will start ca. 11:15, so if you are "away" ,or an "8 o'clocker" or not normally a "Zoomer," please join us then by using the service's Zoom link below.
Various plans for the luncheon at the Ram's Head INN, for the Liturgy, for a possible journal, for publicity, and possible commemorative items, etc. could all benefit from participation by a broad spectrum of members of our community.
