Annual Catholic Appeal: Together at the Table

Fr. Dan extends thanks to all who have contributed toward our Annual Catholic Appeal goal. Our pledged amount has surpassed our goal by about $6000. The work on the bathrooms at St. Julian will cost about $5000, and the work at Queen of the Rosary will be more than that. 210 donors from OLBS have already made their gift, helping us reach this goal! To those who have not yet made a contribution to the Appeal, please consider helping us with this work.

Gospel in Focus

July 21, 2024 Jesus takes the disciples to a deserted place to rest, and then resumes teaching the crowds. “His heart was moved with pity for them, for they

were like sheep without a shepherd.” —Mark 6:34

Discussion Questions

Jesus regularly took time apart to rest. What is one place or activity that replenishes you?

Take a few minutes as a family to imagine being on a boat to a deserted place. How do you feel? What do you notice?

When Jesus arrived back on land, there was a crowd waiting for Him. How can we embrace our own work after a period of rest?
