Euchre Night at the Metamora Lions Club on Thursday, September 21st. Doors open at 6:00 pm. All proceeds go to the Family Literacy Center! $20 buy-in that includes light dinner and snacks. The Metamora Lions Club is at 3790 N. Oak Street, Metamora. Get your game face on and support the Family Literacy Center! We are so fortunate to be selected by the Metamora Lion's Club for this opportunity.

Camel Race Tickets on Sale!

Camel Race tickets are on sale for $25.00 and are limited so get yours early! They are available for purchase at the Family Literacy Center, 311 Higgins Street, Lapeer. There will be no tickets sold at the door.

Join us at the American Legion Hall on Friday, October 13th! Doors open at 5:30pm.

Terra has worked

hard with two of our wonderful volunteer tutors to prepare for her GED. We're so excited to share that all of her hard work paid off!

With the help of our JMG specialist, Terra has exciting plans ahead - her next step is to enter college for engineering.

Damian came to the Family Literacy Center through the GST MI Works office in Sanilac County. Damian has stayed dedicated to getting his GED while working full-time. He received a raise from his employer after getting his GED. Damian plans on continuing to work and wants to start his own business.

Ive came to the Family Literacy Center looking for support to get her GED and navigate the process. She passed her last test in July. Ive is now working full time. She is planning to enroll in college classes

to start January 2024 and earn an Associate’s degree in accounting.

Since January 2023, 35 students have earned their GED. YOU have helped change 35 lives, like Terra, Damian, and Ive's, for the better. Thank you for your support!
