8-20-19   Meeting

Meeting called to order by President Rachel.   Total attendance: 19 Members- 18 and 1 guest speaker.  Nice to have Norm Landis with us today!  Paul Weinstein won the 50/50 today.

We got a thank you card from the Pine Island Club for helping them at the Mango Fest with 50/50 ticket sales. $2,500 was raised to help them build a playground on Pine Island.

Check this out! Paul not only won the 50/50 today but he pulled the Ace of Hearts for the jackpot. Paul donated his winnings to Eva's Closet.

Thanks Marilyn Weinstein for advertising in her community at Seven Lakes to save plastic caps. She is pictured with Paul above.

Our speaker today was Jessica Goodall.
The mission at Eva's Closet & Foundation (ECF) is to provide assistance to people in need, regardless of situation or circumstance, without judgement. We fulfill this mission by serving more than 1,000 individuals each month who are suffering from homelessness, poverty, and other risk factors in Southwest Florida. ECF provides necessities to clients at no cost, including, but not limited to, clothing, shoes, hygiene items, baby supplies, food, household supplies, and school supplies, with grace honor and respect. We strive our best to serve as many people in the community as possible, with grace, honor and respect. Eva serves up to 10-15 families, on average each day. Eva's provides some forms of financial assistance, which are determined on a case by case basis. Eva's also provides case management & supportive services.
