Faith Promise Sunday- This Sunday
Why give to World Missions?
When we invest in spreading God's Word we invest in the souls of men, women, and children who will come to Christ and be used of God to glorify His great name. We are to pray and ask God to give us a heart that finds great joy in giving in order to build His kingdom here and around the world. "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15 Faith Promise is Evangel’s means of funding World Missions. As I put my Faith in God’s Promise, He enables me to meet the commitment He has led me to make. Faith Promise is an agreement between you and God. It is a promise to God that as He enables, you will give the amount you have pledged to Missions. Please prayerfully consider your Faith Promise and turn in your pledge card by March 31. Faith Promise can be given on-line at our church website.
Short Term Mission Opportunities:
If you are interested in hearing about taking a mission trip with our Missionary Partners to: Juarez, Mexico w/ Hunger House International; Peru w/ Global Partners in Life; Spain w/ L'Arcada, or Tanzania, Africa w/ Safe Waters Africa—- A Mission Trip Interest signup will be on a table in the lobby. Get signed up today and we will schedule an interest meeting to discuss the details.
MomCo If you are the mother of a child that is preborn - K5, we invite you to make some mom friends in our MomCo Group at Evangel! Our next meeting is Monday, March 2, from 6:15 - 8:30 p.m. in Quad 208. Dinner is served and nursery is available by reservation. Nursing infants are welcome in our meetings RSVP at (205) 729-3088.
We need candy for our Annual Children's Easter Egg Hunt! Please bring individually wrapped candy (no chocolate because it melts) and place it in the box by the church offices by March 15th. If you are interested in sorting and stuffing eggs after the candy is collected, please contact Liz Oldfield childrensdirector@evangelchurchpca.org. Save your large cardboard appliance and furniture boxes for our Children's Ministry—the bigger, the better! (We'd do cartwheels for some refrigerator boxes!) If you're planning to purchase a large item this spring, save the box and call Liz Oldfield at (205) 835-1482.

Children's Easter Play Save the Date! April 1 Children's Easter Play! Complete with congregational singing of familiar Easter songs and hymns!
Don't throw away your old mismatched pillowcases! Our tiniest actors need them for the children's Easter play! Please leave them in the box by Connie's desk.

The Ladies Lunch Bunch for March is Monday, March 9 at Bistro Pro Vare at Jeff State. Seating is limited and there are 5 reservations left. Please text Debbie at (205) 4922081 by Thursday, February 26, if you would like a remaining spot. We will meet at the church parking lot at 10:50 a.m. to carpool. There will be no book club in March. We will get together on the second Tuesday in April to discuss A Million Little Ways by Emily Freeman.
Oak Mountain Ministries Urgent Needs this month are breakfast items, jelly, peanut butter, deodorant, shampoo, soap, diapers (size 3 & up), wipes, adult incontinence pull-ups sizes L, XL & above, and new underwear for all ages. Please bring any items you would like to donate and place in the basket near the church office.
