The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be served today during the morning worship service. Please prepare your heart for this special time of fellowship with the Lord.
Teacher Training Seminar Are you a Sunday school or small group teacher who would like to learn how you can more effectively connect with those you are teaching and communicate Biblical truth in a way that sparks discussion and brings your lessons alive? We will be having a Teacher Training Seminar led by ECCS's Logic & Rhetoric Principal, Julie McGuffey, on Saturday, August 22nd from 9:30 a.m. —11:30 a.m. Julie is holding this for all Evangel members who teach in any capacity, or feel like they might want to start teaching. If you would be interested in attending this free seminar, contact Alex Goodsell.
Our Nursery is still growing! As we have more covenant babies become part of our church, we are in need of more volunteers to help in the infant room! We are asking for a commitment of once every 6-8 weeks during a Sunday morning service. If you are interested, contact Amy Windsor (205) 337-6740 or alcwindsor@yahoo.com.
Oak Mountain Ministries Urgent Needs this month are jelly, spaghetti sauce, chili, hearty soups, crackers, condiments, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, toilet paper, socks for boys and girls. Please bring any items you would like to donate and place in the basket near the church office.
The Seasoned Sisters are planning another fun outing, and would love for you to join! Come enjoy The Sean of the South Christmas Show — an afternoon filled with Southern storytelling, humor, and live music featuring original songs and Christmas favorites. After the show, there will be an opportunity for a meet-and-greet, including a book signing, photos, and merchandise. The event will be Saturday, December 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the Virginia Samford Theatre (1116 26th Street South, Birmingham). The cost is $50 per person. If you would like to attend, please text Emmie Daniels at 334-701-6401, and submit your $50 payment by Monday, August 10. Tickets will be purchased together, and we will do our best to get seats as close together as possible. We hope you’ll join us for a wonderful afternoon of fellowship, laughter, and Christmas cheer!
Join us in sprinkling Annie (daughter of Pastor Goodsell) and Bradley as they await the arrival of their first baby, Charlotte, in August! A gift and card drop-off area will be set up in the vestibule.
