MIRACLE NIGHT
Assembléia de Deus Gideões
Campinas
August 20th, 2017

"Living with Fire at the Altar of God."

We preached at a new church plant in Campinas.  It was raining that night and those who walk to church stayed home.  There were about 20 people at this meeting and I have to say, it's one to remember!  What a receptive and hungry group of believers.  The message preached was "Living with Fire at the Altar of God."  There were no salvations this night, since everyone present was a Christian, but we had some amazing healings and miracles and the presence of the Holy Spirit was glorious!

I LOVE TO SEE THE JOY WHEN PEOPLE GET HEALED!
This woman in the video testified that she had 7 impacted vertebrae and a sciatic nerve issue on the right side of her neck. She was in pain, had extremely limited movement and could not fully turn her head.   Click on this video and be blessed to see this woman's reaction the moment she  gets healed.

Other Healings...

One woman could not open and close her hands due to arthritis.  She was healed and could fully open and close her hands without pain or limitations.  As well, she had sciatic pain from her hip down her leg.  She was healed of all pain and limitations.  Praise God!

Another woman had bone on bone in both knees and God healed her!  Before she could not  squat, bend and or move without issues or pain.  Wow, this was amazing! She was also suffering from seizures.  Time will tell and give testimony if the seizures don't return.

Another woman had GI issues.  She testified she new God touched her and that she received the "Fire" of the Holy Spirit.  It was glorious to see how God was moving upon her.

Night of Worship and Prayer
Methodist Church
Indaiatuba

Débora lead a worship set at a night of prayer and worship.  It was a beautiful time! After the service, we went home and enjoyed some of Débora's homemade chili. We had friends visiting from another city, who just loved the chili!  They had never experienced it before. I love sharing our American culture with people. There's no Frittos or sour cream in Brazil, so we used Doritos instead and Débora made homemade sour cream. Yummy!

It's always a treat to meet a fellow American in Brazil.  We were invited to Pastor Sérgio's house in Campinas for an afternoon bar-b-que to connect us with an American A/G missionary living in the region.  We enjoyed meeting Garo, his wife and kids. They are focusing on college campuses to reach out to students with the Gospel.

Preparation for Revival
A lot of time, finances and travel goes into preparing for upcoming meetings and events.  When we did the inauguration event for the soccer field in the Monte Carlo neighborhood of Campos do Jordão, back in March, the vendor that provided the portable bathrooms and tents wanted us to come minister in his city.  He invited us to come to his property to meet with the leadership team that has promoted and sustained for many years a Monday night youth meeting at his farm.  We talked, prayed and scheduled a time for us to return for a Monday night service.  As of the writing of this months e-newsletter, the event has already taken place, but you will have to wait till next month to read the GREAT report.

Missions and Revival Night
AG Vila Bela Church, Indaiatuba
August 13th, 2017

This church had 7 nights of revival services.  It was an honor to preach the concluding night.  The altars were full as the Holy Spirit was working in so many lives.

Prayer at Bookafé

While in Campos do Jordão for a few meetings, we stopped by at new coffee shop that had just opened days before.  It's called Bookcafé.  It is Christian owned and the premise is that at any time, prayer, encouragement and counseling are always available.

The owners recognized us and asked if we would pray over the business and share a word with the staff.  What a privilege it was!

They shared this awesome testimony with us...

A husband and wife came together to Campos do Jordão for a last attempt weekend to reconcile their marriage.  They had tried 4 previous times to save their marriage, and had decided to try one more time.   While they were at the coffee shop, they received prayer and gave their lives to Jesus Christ. They were renewed in faith and hope for their marriage.  They agreed to stay together, find a church home and get Christian marriage counseling.  What a blessing!

Débora's Column

Every time I sit to write something down here, it amazes me how much time has passed and how much God has done!
I can't believe August is come and gone. Time kind of flew by when we got back to Brazil. We had to find a new place to live, so that took quite a bit of our time. Moving in Brazil is a little more difficult than moving in the US. We found a place that would work for us, and on August 10th we moved in.
It had been about 25 years since I lived in a high-rise building, and Mike and Sophia have never lived in one. It is a much more easy maintenance kind of life for us. We are within walking distance to shops, banks, stores, coffee and to a great park. This move will make life in general and traveling a lot easier for us.
There is so much that I could write about all that God did in this short time we were in Brazil.... we traveled a lot, had many meetings, met more incredible people, witnessed many miracles and time and time again, saw the goodness and love of the Father poured out on people.
Leaving the US is always so hard, but God has blessed us with so many amazing friends in Brazil that make being away from our US family a little easier. We see His goodness in our life through the relationships that He has blessed us with. Many of these amazing friends have felt the Holy Spirit tugging at their hearts and have said yes to being a part of SOZO. That is so encouraging to us!
Now that Mike's Brazilian Residence has been approved and his Foreign Immigrant card has been issued, we have the green light to file the paperwork for SOZO. It took a little over 3 years for this process, but God has perfect timing in all that He does and we know that He will continue to direct every step.
In our family right now... Gigi went back to Redding for her second year at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry and Sophia will be going to Brazil with us after being here in Kansas since April. Bella and Mark are the cutest young married couple I've ever seen, and I'm grateful everyday for how well they are doing.
I am doing so much better health wise. The dietary restrictions and learning to rest have truly helped and I have been feeling better than I had felt in a long time.
Thank you so much for praying for me!
We are in the US for a couple of weeks right now, but when we head back to Brazil we cannot wait to continue doing what God has called us to do there.
Please keep us in prayer!
Love you all so very much!

Débora
Sozo Mountain Update
The final draft of the non profit articles for legal filing are verified  by the lawyer, as we are about ready to file the documents with the government.   As well, we have almost finished assembling the board of directors in Brazil for Sozo.  This task has taken much time in prayer and patience as we have sought the Lord for the right people in Brazil to help lead and formulate the ministry of Sozo Mountain.
