THANKSGIVING at the Men's Recovery Center
Campos do Jordão

November 17, 2017

We visited this place many months ago. As a result of that previous meeting the director asked us to return and host a Thanksgiving meal and share the Word of God with the men. They had never experienced the American Thanksgiving tradition before, so we arranged for turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and we found a lady who had lived in London and owns a bakery to bake homemade apple pie. The director told us that these men just could not wait for this day to arrive. Like children waiting so anxiously for Christmas gifts.

Before the meal, we had a time to share God's Word and pray with the men and 18+ prayed to receive Christ! I can only imagine the angelic scene of rejoicing in heaven! The director so happily asked us to come back, but next time to plan on spending the day and night. He would like us to spend time teaching, worshiping and praying with the men. This Catholic facility currently has 40 men. They are building an additional house to accommodate 12 more. INCREDIBLE, CAN'T WAIT!

The city invited us to this specially arranged night to show appreciation to all the city volunteers. It was a great honor for us be present for this moment The city councilwoman introduced us to the mayor and he was aware of who we were and all the things we had done during the missions week back in March with the Church of the Harvest (Olathe) missions group as well as, our plans for the Sozo Mountain Children's Home. He gave us his personal contact and said to call him if we need any help in the city.

UPCOMING YOUTH RALLY IN 2018

Above Photo: Councilwoman Joaquina has expressed the city's desire for us to do an All City Youth event here at the

same facilities in which the orchestra played. This complex is on Brazil's national monument list and it seats 1,000 people. As a result of what took

place in March at the high school with the missions team from Church of the Harvest (LINK), the city wants to see ALL the youth ministered to! #POWERFULGOSPEL

As well, they would like All Nations to utilize this same facility to bring all the pastors and churches in the city together for a time of spiritual growth, fellowship and prayer. What incredible open doors and receptivity we have in the city as we are working to establish SOZO MOUNTAIN here.

2 salvations

We were invited to come preach at this church as a result of what the Lord had done at Biro's farm on that Monday night service several months back. It was a rainy night at the service time and in Brazil, when it rains, people generally don't like to go out. So the church lacked many of its people and visitors. Even in the midst of that, 2 teenagers gave their lives to Christ and God brought a spirit of renewal and hope to those present.

It was a Thursday night service and the house was full! There was an unusual sense that God was going to show up in amazing ways. The atmosphere was electric and expectation filled the room. This was not a normal Thursday night mid-week service. So many youth and people of all ages came hungry for a move of God. This service only finished after 11:30 pm. What's amazing is NO ONE LEFT or COMPLAINED. When revival breaks forth the religious spirit is crushed! The pastor said he has been in prayer for 7 years, dedicating every Monday to fasting and praying specifically for a revival to breakout in His city. God's finger is stirring where hearts are hungry and the people motivated. At the pastor's expressed desire and invitation, we will be working together with him and other pastors of this city and believing God for a crusade in 2018.

Altar Call for Salvation

Some people may ask, why do people come to the front to give their lives to Christ? Making a public profession of faith in Christ is important. If a person is not willing to openly surrender their lives to Christ in a public church environment, they will most likely not live publicly for Christ in the world. Jesus said, if you acknowledge me before man then I will acknowledge you before my Father in heaven (Matt. 10:32). Something supernatural takes place when a person steps out of their seat (comfort zone) and comes to the front. In this service, when the people came forward to pray and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, Heaven opened up! The glory of God was so strong that the people who came up front struggled to stand under the weight of His glory. The woman in the chair was so intoxicated in the glory she was just staggering and a chair was placed for her to sit. This was happening before we could pray the prayer of salvation! We normally don't post these type of photos for various reasons, but we want you to catch a glimpse of what happens in many of the meetings and what we are seeing God do here in Brazil. Wave after wave of glory just moved through this meeting. Many churches have no altar experience anymore but It's really a glorious place of encounter!

A Few Testimonies

Following the time of prayer for salvation we continued in worship and prayer for the sick and for people to

receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Photo Above: During the service there was significant time given over to seeking the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and for a renewed fire in the lives of the believers. Like the waves on the beach, as the water comes crashing in the shoreline only to retreat back into the waters for yet another wave to come in, so it was during this service. Wave after wave of living water was pouring in. Lives were being radically touched by the power of the Holy Spirit. The altar was full, even as the people upfront thinned out, another wave of people would come forward. This went on for some time. t would be safe to say, EVERYONE in this service was moved, filled and received something glorious from the Lord.

Above Photo: People who needed a healing miracle came forward for prayer. The testimonies are so numerous, it's beyond the scope of this newsletter to list them all. But here are a few that we think will truly bless you!

Above Photo Left: This man was born blind in his left eye. During the prayer for healing, God opened his eye. Before the whole congregation he covered his good eye and tested out his new sight. It was not at 100% at that moment but close, it progressed after several times of prayer. Getting clearer and clearer, GLORY TO GOD!

Above Photo Right: This woman was completely deaf in her right ear, she too received her miracle when the prayer of faith went forth and her ear popped open! She could hear a finger snap from a distance, PRAISE THE LORD!

WORD IN THE SERVICE about the womb: Earlier in the service the Holy Spirit gave a prophetic word about the womb and pregnancy. That the enemy was working to abort the favor of God in the lives of the people. But God was going to break that and bring forth the fruit of the womb. I believe this word has dual meanings in both the natural and spiritual realm. At that moment, a young couple and a few women with fertility issues which meant they could not have children came forward, the power of God touched them in such a great way!. Only the future will tell in concern of these physical issues of what the Lord has done.

Photo Above Left: As you an see there is joy on this woman's face, she was radically blessed! She said the doctor's told her that her hips were that of an 80 year old woman. During prayer, God healed her hips and she went running in the font around the altar area. The joy on her face lit the room up. She described the power of God that came on her and the miracle that the Lord did for her. She was previously a Spiritist and a host for demonic spirits. Then recently she became a Christian, giving her life to Jesus. At the end of the service we learned that she is a gynecologist. Wow! Remember the Word about the womb? I can only imagine in both the natural and spiritual ways, how great the plan of God is to use this woman. GLORIOUS!

Above Photo Right: This is the husband of the woman. He was experiencing lots of chest pains and complications from auto immune disease which caused a rare case of diabetes. He said that he had had 2 heart surgeries and 3 heart attacks. During the time of prayer, God powerfully touched him. He testified that he felt something leave his body and a peace that he had not known before came and filled him. GOD IS SO AMAZING! We trust God did something supernatural for him.

3 Salvations and 4 recommitments to JESUS

25 Year Church Anniversary Service

It was an honor to preach the 25th anniversary service for this amazing church family. 3 people gave their lives to the Lord and another 4 recommitted their lives to Jesus. So many wonderful things the Lord did through healing's and deliverance.

Prior to the preaching the Lord gave a Word of Knowledge about someone with strong pain behind the eye, and other people with nerve pain on the left side of the neck, left lower back and left leg. 8 people came forward with these issues to be prayed for. ALL BUT ONE, WERE VISIBLY HEALED with the evidence of pain and symptoms being fully gone and with complete restored mobility. We can't share them all, but here are a few of the testimonies...

Above Photo: The m an in the black t-shirt had severe pressure behind his eye and loss of vision. At the time of prayer he was in tears because of the intensity of pain behind the eye. After prayer he testified that ALL the pain left, the pressure was gone and the majority of the blurriness had gone away. He was so Happy..PRAISE THE LORD.

Above Photo Above Left: This woman had an issue with her bone right below her left elbow. She said for years she could not touch it without pain and the use of that arm was limited. All her pain left and she could do every movement with her arm with no limitations. AMEN!

Above Photo Right: This man had nerve issues on the left side of his neck. At the time of prayer, the pain and ailment left his body. He testified of the complete healing of his neck. BLESS THE LORD!

Above Photo Left: This precious 87 year old women asked for prayer for two of her great-grandsons who live in another city. She said they are both bound by drugs and hopelessness. The power of God hit her so strong, she laid out on the ground under the power of God for the entirety of the service (3 hours). When she could finally get up, she was stumbling under the presence of God. It appeared as if she was drunk (Acts 2). In front of the whole church she spoke up and said, "I believe and know today that God did something for my great grandchildren!" Wow, what great faith this woman has. She was one of the founding people of the church 25 years ago. Praise God for her commitment and faithfulness.

Above Photo Right: This woman had bone on bone on her knees and bad hips. Pictures don't do this moment justice. She was healed. Having full movement, she could do anything she wanted with no pain! GOD IS AWESOME!

Above Photo: Altar call. The Young man in the middle with his hand raised was walking by the church and heard the preaching coming from inside. An usher greeted him at the door and brought him in and sat on the front row. This young man wept with his face buried in his hands the whole service. He responded to the call of salvation and gave his life to Christ. He wept and cried out, " I WANT TO BE FREE!" He left the service victorious and free in Jesus Christ! His tears of sorrow were replace with tears of joy. The pastor later informed me that he spoke with this young man after the service and believed this boy was suicidal as dark hopelessness had covered him. Praise God for the day of salvation! The bible says, that this is the day of salvation, and he who the Lord sets free is free indeed!

After the altar call, there was a time of continued prayer. The Lord did many many things to heal and set people free. One man said, I don't go to church often, but I was invited tonight. You have no idea what this night meant to me. I had the worst month of my life, can't begin to explain it to you. Every word touched my life and it was as if God was speaking directly to me! On top of that, the Lord broke a spirit of fear off of me tonight. I feel completely free and I know that the best is before me now."

One women, had an issue with the right side of her jaw. She said for 4-5 years she could not open her mouth wide or chew well. During the prayer for healing the Lord touched her jaw and took away all the pain. Before the whole congregation she tested this healing and was able to fully open her mouth! AMAZING!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

God bless each of you as we celebrate the Good News of the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

CHRISTmas is all about the CHRIST! Jesus came to a lost and sinful world to save and redeem people. That includes you and me. The bible says we are able to love because Christ first loved us. When we were in our sin, Christ came to be born and to demonstrate that "love" for you on the Cross. What's amazing is that Jesus did not come for us in our perfection, but for our redemption.

I would like to challenge you in TWO things.

FIRST, receive God's grace and love for your life. It's FREE, He paid the price for you on the cross. All you have to do is acknowledge Him and receive His saving grace into your heart and life.

SECONDLY, take the love and grace God extended to your life and apply that to someone who you have not been able to forgive or someone who has hurt you or perhaps someone you need to reconcile with. Break the cycle by extending out an olive branch of grace and forgiveness. It will release you and open doors of healing into your life.

We are back in Kansas!

Yesterday it finally started feeling like we are getting into a "being home" rhythm again. It is so weird how it always takes a few days for the mind and body to adjust. I was thinking about it some, and we are the same people, but life is so different in the US from the life we live in Brazil. I think it takes a little bit of brain tweak to make it all work. It also doesn't help much to have come out of tropical 90s summer weather into 30s winter weather. Our bodies definitely seem to be in shock sometimes.

I LOVE this time of year. The family time, the lights, the weather, apple cider, coats, the Christmas music and all the cheesy Christmas movies.

These are just the bonuses in a season filled with the wonder of the greatest love ever displayed. I am so grateful for Jesus. For who He is and what He did. For the life that He laid down and the life that He gives us. The love that He pours out over and over to us. What a gift we have received! It is my prayer, that more than ever, I am constantly aware of and intentional about His gift. It is so easy to get caught up in so much stuff, especially at this time of year, and completely lose sight of what is meaningful and lasting. Take time to treasure His gift each day. Take time to thank Him for it and to share it. I hope this season is filled with the wonder of who He is in your life!

TESTIMONY

Photo: The morning after the 25th year anniversary service at the Baptist Church, Pastor Rogerio picked us up at the hotel to take us to the auto shop to get a burnt out head light on our car changed before we hit the road.

The owner of the shop was telling us she had a migraine and suffered daily for 15 years with this issue. We asked her if we could pray for her and her migraine immediately left. Wide-eyed and in awe, she said she was a Spiritist. We shared the message of salvation with her and the love of Jesus Christ. She wanted to receive Jesus as her personal savior. The above photo is Pastor Rogerio leading her and husband in the prayer of salvation. She said she wants to come to the church with her husband and grow in her new found relationship with Christ.

Just goes to show you, the Gospel is powerful anywhere you go. Be sensitive and God will use you in the most unlikely places.

Year End Giving

It's hard to believe the year is about to end. As we look back on 2017, we have witnessed many, many, many souls coming to Christ and live's being re-directed in divine destiny. Praise the Lord!

All the accomplishments of this past year can only be attributed to prayer and our financial partners. Thank you all for sowing seed, believing with us and supporting the evangelistic work here in Brazil.

FIRST GATHERING OF THE SOZO LEADERSHIP TEAM IN BRAZIL

MEET THE TEAM!

It is hard to put into words the connections that were felt in this first gathering of the leadership team. Most had never met, but there was a bond as if we all knew each other for a lifetime. It was supernatural! It has taken several years for us to pray through and ask God to show us who should be on the SOZO team. Each person Débora and I prayed for as we asked God for confirmation and direction to assemble the team. Just as the Lord went about selecting His disciples, in that they were called out for a purpose, we believe everyone on the team has been called by God to fulfill their part in what God has for them to do in the SOZO MOUNTAIN project.
