SOZO MOUNTAIN MEETING
Campos do Jordão
May 6, 2018
First Legal Sozo Mountain board meeting to establish the constitution and bylaws

Above Three Photos: 1st legal Sozo Mountain board meeting in
Campos do Jordão, Brazil

Things are moving forward!

We had the first official legal board meeting for SOZO MOUNTAIN in Campos do Jordão. The board members and the lawyer traveled to Campos for two days to conduct this meeting. Rogério and Leila Rega (Kansas City, USA) and Eduardo and Anne Quadros (Florianópolis, Brazil) participated via Skype.

What an amazing start we had! The bylaws were read by the lawyer and we approved the constitution of SOZO MOUNTAIN. These papers were a culmination of a two year process. The lawyer meticulously crafted the documents to meet the needs of SOZO in conjunction with the American side of the Ministry of All Nations. As a result of this meeting, a few more changes were made as the board reviewed the bylaws. The final document has been updated and finalized as of the writing of this e-newsletter. A few more signatures are required from the board and the lawyer will travel back to Campos in the month of July to officially file with the city registers office. They will preview the paperwork to make sure it aligns with all applicable laws and legal constraints. Once the paperwork is reviewed (which will take approx. 1-3 months), we should have government approval. PRAISE GOD!  Please pray for no hick-ups. It has been a long process, but we have confidence and we see that everything has been in God's timing.

During the board meeting, time was allotted for one of the city's council woman (Joaquina) to come and speak for a few moments. She shared about the impact All Nations has had in the city and she boldly commented that the whole city knows who we are. Wow! This goes back to March of 2017 when the 10 person missions team from Church of the Harvest (Olathe, KS) came to Campos do Jordão for a week of missions.  It's impact is lasting and it proved the goodwill and heart of our purposes to begin the Sozo Mountain Children's Home in Campos do Jordão. She said the city would be at our disposal. Amen!

We always love to be invited back to this special place. The Lord was moving in a special way in the lives of people during the altar time as we prayed and laid hands on people. Two testimonies stand out...

1.  One older woman in her mid 80's asked for prayer.  She said, "I want to die. I don't want to live anymore. My husband passed away 8 months ago and I have no more hope for living." We asked her what would her husband want?
She said, "He would want me to keep living." We shared with her that if she was breathing, God still had a plan for her life.To finish the race God had marked out for her. Honor God with her life. There is still a work and purpose for you here on earth. At that moment, we could see her countenance reflect joy and peace. She found a new strength as she put the purposes of her life in God hand's and not in her situation.

2.  After the service a woman came to us and said, "last time you were here I was set free. I had come to that service feeling that I was going to die. When you spoke the Word out of Psalms 118 that says, "You shall live and not die." something immediately was broken off of me. I've been living in perfect peace and this spirit of death was broken off of me. I'm so happy and so free." PRAISE GOD!!!

Worship Ministry

Débora's Column

May and June were awesome months! So many things to share. On top of all of the ministry that we're shared here, we were able to make it back to KC the day before Mother's Day. Gigi also got in on the same day, from Redding CA, to spend the summer at home.  Mike's brother came from Maryland a few days later for a visit and to be at Sophia's high school graduation. A few days later Mike had his 52nd birthday.

We were also able to squeeze in a 4 day trip to Astor, Fl to spend with family and Mike's mother and stepfather for her birthday.
We had such a sweet time with all of them!

On June 11th, Sophia's had her 18th birthday, we left for a 1 week family trip to Cuba. Even Gigi's boyfriend, Isaac was able to meet up with us in Atlanta to join the family trip. We cannot put into words how special out time together was and how much we enjoyed Cuba and the Cuban people. I really hope we will be back!

During our trip, Isaac proposed to Gigi on a rooftop in Havana. It was so amazing to have their engagement be in such a special place and to spend the rest of our trip celebrating. We enjoyed some much needed family and rest time.

We made it back to KC just in time for Sophia's KU orientation (I'm still in denial) and then left for Brazil.
Wow, it was a non-stop month, but full of celebrating and family! This year has already been so special, and there's still more to come, especially in November when we will welcome our first grandson to the family.
 I CAN'T WAIT!

We've been back to Brazil for almost 2 weeks now, and we've already seen God do so much. He is good, and He is so real. Jesus is always ready to show His power and His love for people, and we get to be used by Him and witness what happens to lives that encounter Him. It is so humbling and such a blessing.
Thank you all, always, for praying for us!
Much love,

Débora
Surgery

In April I had surgery to remove skin cancer on my forehead.

Lord, I thought, "How could this happen? We see so many people healed from every ailment including cancer."  I prayed and sought the Lord.  And when the surgery time came, I was quietly nervous.  My mind ran rampant, "what if it's worse than they thought?"
As I laid in the operating bed, my mind went from worry to praise.  "How good you are God!  I'm blessed in my life and truly know that in all things you work everything together for good. Even when we can't see it or understand it."

Divine healing is one of the great spiritual mysteries. We can't understand how it happens, but at the same time, when it doesn't happen in the supernatural way we would like,  we can't understand that as well.

Matt. 10:8 says that Jesus gave the command to go and preach the Gospel and to heal the sick.  This word heal in this verse is the Greek word for Therapy.  This is amazing, because Jesus told his disciples to go heal therapeutically, in a natural sense. In other words, use your compassion and the abilities you have to help people get better.
God's divine intervention in matters of sickness, pain and illness most often comes through the hands of people that carry His heart. God desires people to love people, to care for each other in the hour of need.

All is well and my tests came back with all the cancer successfully removed!

God Bless you,
Michel Borchardt
Building Relationships
In most cases, long before we get to do crusades, seminars or preaching in meetings, relationships have been built. Relationships need to be intentional.  How often do we say things like, "lets get together for coffee." or "we need to have a bar-b- que." Then life happens, time goes by and it never happens. During the month of April and May we chose to focus on the intentionality of relationships and spent considerable time just to be with people around the table.

Intentionality is important to building relationships and to be involved in each others lives. Ministry is the same. We are not only  preaching, but want to be involved in the lives of pastors and their families. In ministry, pastors rarely truly have a confidant that they can be transparent with.

We recently preached at a very large church that has a great legacy in their city and Brazil. The pastors scheduled a time with us and poured out their heart and some serious issues they were facing. Asking for advice
and prayer, we were able to impart a word all based on trust and relationship.
Testimony
While Debora and I were at a wellness clinic visit here in Brazil the physical therapist shared about her son. Saying that a couple of nights before they had spent the evening at the hospital because her 10 year old son had hit his head. 1/2 his face was sagging and he could not speak clearly. She was so upset at the treatment at the hospital as the doctor told them to go home and wait. No MRI, no CAT scan, nothing! She was noticeably worried and distraught over her son's situation. He had no signs of improvement and she didn't know what to do. It was about 7:30 pm. as we finished our doctor's appointment and as were were walking out the door together with her, the Lord spoke to me, and said, "I sent you to Brazil to be a light and witness to people about my grace. Pray for her and her son."

I quickly obeyed the Lord and asked if we could pray with her concerning her son. She was so grateful giving us hugs and words of thanks. Later that night she left debora a message that when she got home her son was perfectly fine. She is not a christian, but did say to us, "you two carry a great light." We trust for the day she will put her faith in and surrender her heart to Christ!
COMING SOON...
SOZO LIFE
The e-newletters is going to have a name change. The new name will be SOZO LIFE.
To keep some continuity with the upcoming ministry of SOZO MOUNTAIN, we want to brand the names to have a tie-in.

SOZO means Salvation, Healing, Restoration and Deliverance. The Word is declarative in all that we are doing in Brazil in evangelism through crusades, conferences, and preaching meetings. We are seeing the hand of the Lord bringing SOZO.

When Jesus said, "I came to seek and SAVE that which is lost" the word SAVE in the original Greek is SOZO. Meaning: Salvation, healing, deliverance and deliverance. Hallelujah!

Please note that the legal ministry name will remain the same, All Nations. Sozo Life is mearly reflective of the Evangelism Work.
