TWO AMAZING NIGHTS!

NIGHT 1: Friday Night

This first night was set apart specifically for the body of Christ to have a Holy Spirit encounter. A moment to intentionally pursue the presence of the Holy Spirit in their lives and to align with His power.

Jesus said, I will go but I will send One to come after Me, He
(The Holy Spirit) will counsel you, guide you, teach you and will never leave you. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and Power.

The Holy Spirit in our lives is our divine connection. In our yes to the Holy Spirit, heaven is released on earth.

Unfortunately, most Christians are not aware or taught of the depth of intimacy we have with the Glories of Heaven through the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

John said, "He (Jesus) will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and Fire."

Every believer has the capacity and potential to walk in the things of God: in Power, Purpose and Results. Jesus commanded the early believers to not leave the upper room until they receive the Power of the Holy Spirit in their lives. It's that important!

Wow, can you imagine if the church today would grab hold of this truth and the relationship we have with Heaven through the Holy Spirit.

Friday Night we held our 2nd "Holy Fire" event. 105 were present for this Friday night meeting of impartation and activation. Each person has giftings and callings of God on their life. God wants to empower every believer with Heaven's Presence. The "Holy Fire" activation event is for this purpose. To awaken believers to come alive to the hope, calling and presence of the Holy Spirit.

In this meeting, no time was placed on the length of the service, no constraints placed on the Holy Spirit. The only requirement was for the people to come with a prepared heart that has sought the Lord, to have a great expectation to receive and a commitment to GO out into the world and impart the love and power of God into people's lives.

Each person had hands laid on them. Each one receiving their flame, their fire, their activation for the call of God on their lives. A powerful conclusion to a night filled with the Word, Spirit and Heaven's Glory.

SUNDAY NIGHT

30 Responded to the Altar Call of Salvation

Following Friday night's meeting we ministered Sunday night in an evangelistic oriented service in which the church members invited guests. We preached a simple Gospel message. When the altar call was given, 30 came forward. WOW!!!! This was the overflow result of Friday's "Holy Fire" meeting. Salvation is ALWAYS the greatest of all miracles! Eternity is forever and a person making the decision to receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is the Holiest of all moments.

Absolutely GLORIOUS!!!!

Following the time of prayer at the Altar to receive Jesus Christ as Savior, we handed the microphone over to the pastor to close the service. He said to us, What about healing? Pastor, we have gone past the time you gave us. He said, we have an expectation that the Lord will heal and do great things. So we took the microphone back and believed Jesus for a continuation of the open heavens we were experiencing. Below are a few of those healing miracles that took place in this moment.

Above two Photos: This young girl was powerfully touched by God in this meeting. The presence of the Holy Spirit so overcame her that she could not hold back the tears. She said she suffered from back issues that did not allow her to play like the other kids and hindered her movements. All pain left and she could bend, jump, run and do movements that previously she couldn't. Her and her mom are new Christians and they told us after the service that they never experienced anything like this before and couldn't have imagined such a thing was even possible. GLORY TO GOD!

Above Photo Right:This young girl was healed from asthma. She said she could not do physical activity as her asthma would make it hard to breathe. She did laps at the front of the church to show how she could breathe normally after physical activity. Amen!

Above Photo Right:This is the girl's mom. She also came forward and testified that she had the same neck condition as her daughter and was also completely healed! Amazing, generational healing!

Above Photo: Debora ministered Sunday night at a service to honor women. She preached on identity as a woman. Several came forward at the altar call. The Lord moved on many of the hearts present in this meeting. A beautiful night as lives were impacted by the Word of God and work of the Holy Spirit.

Above Photo: Since Débora moved to the United States over 25 years ago, she has not had her Brazil side family together to celebrate her birthday. So this day was a HUGE blessings as family traveled from many cities to spend the day with us to celebrate her birthday. We rented the reception room at our apartment complex and enjoyed hosting this special time. To top it off, our daughter Isabella and grandson Luca came to Brazil for two weeks to be with us. Having them there was the icing on the cake!

A PROPHETIC MOMENT...

We were in Campos do Jordão to sign some papers for the Sozo Mountain project. While there we were having a meal with our lawyers, randomly during conversations I had a picture of a puzzle come into my mind. In my spirit I heard the Lord saying to me that we are a piece of the puzzle for what God is wanting to do through Sozo. In time, the pieces would come together to form a beautiful work.

So the next day, while we were still in Campos do Jordão Débora and I stopped by the City Hall on a social visit to say hello to a few people. When we walked in council woman Joaquina was so excited to see us and she came right over to greet us. She quickly pulled out from under the counter a plaque that she wanted to show us. She said it was being presented to a local business for the part they are playing in the community. As she opened the box, there it was, a

PUZZLE PIECE.

Below is the picture of that plaque Joaquina showed us.

Can you imagine? This was no coincidence as some would say, but it's God confirming in a simple way through a prophetic nature that we are on track. GLORIOUS!!!

Débora's Column

I'm sitting here writing this to you with a full heart and so much gratitude. There have been many challenges this year, but we continue to see God show up and be faithful time and time again.

In September I was bale to celebrate my birthday, not only with Bella and Luca being in Brazil, but also with a lot of family members and friends that came from other towns to spend the day with us. What a gift it was to find myself, after all these years, surrounded by my Brazilian family and friends. It honestly felt like a kiss from heaven. The moment was so precious to me that I burst into tears. Being in Brazil requires us to let go of a lot of things and to leave a lot behind, but in so many ways God has given us GIFTS and BLESSINGS that feel so special and have touched our hearts in a deep way.

Spending a couple of weeks with Bella and Luca was another one of these precious gifts that will truly be unforgettable. One day I was thanking God for it and just spending some time reflecting on what an amazing time we were having. I honestly felt the Holy Spirit saying "this would not happen if you and Mike hadn't said Yes to the call, and if you were not here in Brazil. I'm instilling a deep love for this country in your daughters' lives and I have an even greater plan in that!"

Wow, I was astonished! It is true. We get these special times with our kids in Brazil, because we are here and over the years we have watched their love for Brazil and its people grow.

We also started ministering in these activation nights that Mike calls HOLY FIRE and it's been incredible to see the response and to watch the Holy Spirit empower lives that make themselves available and desire to become soul winners. We all have a calling and a flame that is unique to who we are as individuals. It is a privilege to watch someone come to that realization and understanding. All of us, in the power of the Holy Spirit, have something we can do and can reach lives with the love of Christ.

I look forward to many more of these nights in 2020.

We also were privileged to be back home Kansas City to celebrate Luca's 1st birthday and for Thanksgiving this year. THANK YOU JESUS!

I don't take any of these moments for granted and I am beyond grateful for all that God has done and has allowed us to do.

I hope you all know how much we love and appreciate each of you.

Pregnant with blessing...

Above Photo: After a Sunday Night church service in which we were preaching this woman and her husband came to us to share a testimony.

A year ago when we were there preaching they weren't sure about having another child. During the preaching we mentioned about Hannah and her inability to conceive and as she poured her heart out to God, a miracle happened for her and she gave birth to Samuel. They took this to heart and trusted God that they would have another child.

Well, they came and shared with us the good news, they are pregnant and expecting. Praise Jesus!

Visits are always welcomed

Above Photo: Taken on the streets of São Paulo. Our daughter Isabella and grandson Luca came to visit us in Brazil for two weeks. We had such a great time! We love having our family and friends visit. Always special memories for us.

Above Photo: We had a great weekend with some local Brazilian missionary friends who came and spent a couple of days with us in our home. Connecting with friends and building relationships are core ingredients of life.

Trials and Tribulations

While in Campos do Jordão, we visited Bia (council woman's assistant and right hand).

It was so encouraging to visit her in her home as she's been out for the last 8 months.

Her story is a bright star in this community.

Bia was diagnosed with cancer in early 2019 and throughout this entire time of surgeries, hospital stays and ups and downs she has remained hopeful, and has not lost faith. Her attitude and trust in God's faithfulness has been so encouraging and inspiring to those around that she has been able to minister to the people that visit her and has even been invited to speak to women gatherings. Her treatment is still ongoing and even though she is getting better she still has a long road ahead. Please join us in praying for her.

Happenings with Sozo Mountain Children's Home

Our Lawyer and his wife drove 5 1/2 hours to Campos do Jordão to once again, file our process for the legal documentation. We met them there to make sure we were readily available if needed - and it was a good thing. At the documentation office, they questioned Michel's signature as one of the letters looked different. The lawyer told them, well its good they are here in town, I'll have them come right over to re-sign the paperwork.
