 Insulation requirement for Residential on 2014 Florida Building
There is a significant change in minimum thermal resistance of (r-value) insulating material installed on the roofing system. The 2014 Florida Building Code Fifth Edition, Energy Conversation Code (FECC), takes effect on June 30th, 2015. Re-roofing is regulated by the Florida Existing Building Code as an Alteration. Keep in mind that the term re-roofing in the FECC is referred to as a renovation and not alteration. It is important to know, if the cost of building alteration such as a re-roof is 30 percent or less than the assessed value of the structure, the building would fall into the Exempt Building category. However if the cost of the alteration exceeds the 30 percent threshold than the requirements would apply. In clear there will be a lot of home owners that fall into the 30 percent or less category, meaning no change is required. |

The 2015 hurricane season is a current event in the annual tropical cyclone season in the northern hemisphere. The season officially begins on June 1, 2015 and ends on November 30, 2015. These dates historically describe the period each year when most tropical cyclones form in the Atlantic basin and are adopted by convention. 2015 hurricane season, predicting 7 named storms, 3 hurricanes, 1 major hurricane, and a cumulative ACE index of 40 units. However, the formation of tropical cyclones is possible at any time of the year. The first storm, Ana, developed a month before the official start of the season, becoming the first pre-season tropical cyclone since 2012's Tropical Storm Beryl. |

but they do?  I would appreciate this information being passed on to the owner of your company ? I had been dealing with another company for over 25 years .. they still have not returned my call. Your Company not only answered but scheduled a free estimate that was done the next day (today).
The gentleman that you sent was Ricardo Gorni ? not only did he asses the damages quickly and efficiently he was very polite and detailed his findings in an accurate and easy to understand method. I then had to place a tarp over the roof ? he not only helped me bring it up to the roof ? but he stayed and helped me tack down the tarp and secure the roof. I would not have been able to perform the task myself and he was willing and cordial about helping me ? Great Guy ! Thank you and I have no idea what my quote is yet but I am giving my business to you, thank you for prompt professional service and I look forward to using your company in the future !  Debbie L.
