GAF This month Evans Roofing attended a TPO training provided by GAF in Pompano Beach, FL.

GAF was established in 1886 and is the leading roofing materials manufacturer in North America.

GAF trains and tests thousands of the best roofers in the country and make sure that theyre appropriately licensed and insured so that they can offer GAFs best warranties.

The First Day of Summer

Summer Solstice: June 21st, 2019.

This date marks the official beginning of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, occurring when Earth arrives at the point in its orbit where the North Pole is at its maximum tilt (about 23.5 degrees) toward the Sun, causing the longest day and shortest night of the calendar year. By longest day, we mean the longest period of sunlight. At the June solstice, the Northern Hemisphere receives sunlight at the most direct angle for the year.

The team at Evans Roofing was honored to attend the home of the Miami Dolphins, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, FL. We were welcomed by the Roofing Contractors Association of South Florida (RCASF) as the team hosted its 40th Annual Fishing Tournament.

Strange architecture around the world

The worlds largest solar furnace is located in Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via, a commune in the sunny Pyrenees mountains on the French-Spanish border. The furnace consists of a field of 10,000 mirrors bounce the suns rays onto a large concave mirror which focuses the enormous amount of sunlight onto an area roughly the size of a cooking pot which reaches temperatures above 3,000 °C or 5,430 degrees Fahrenheit. The solar furnace itself isnt exactly new.

Hurricane Season has officially begun. 2019 Atlantic hurricane season is June 1, 2019- November 30, 2019. South Florida has already begun witnessing the rainy season.
