Passing the Baton - Orlando Edition

The beginning of 2021 has been full of changes. Evans Roofing of Central Florida, has hit the ground running! They have been working on some incredible projects that we are excited to showcase in the upcoming weeks. Our President, Thierry Devove, had the pleasure of showing Richard D. Smith, the previous owner of the Central Florida location, how fast the company he once created is evolving.

Water Damage Is Serious Business: Check Valleys! A valley is where the intersection of two roofs come together. It is also called the ridge, which is again where two roofs meet at the top. Valleys are very common places for leaks because that’s where the water from the entire roof goes and it will start sloshing back and forth.

MOAB RED HOT 55K

Can we talk about INSANE! Our fearless President traveled to Moab, Utah in order to attend the RED HOT 55K race. Yes, you read right… 55K or 34 MILES! The race took place on February 13th, just west of Arches National Park. Thierry finished 56th out of 125 runners and finished the race in 6:36:31!!! Thierry was the only person from Florida to rank in the top 100 runners, along with ranking 8th in his age group. Way to go Thierry!!

Get your GREEN on!

As COVID-19 cases are still on the rise, the St Patrick’s day parade has been cancelled. Fortunately, there are still many activities that the whole family can participate in. In Broward, the 2021 Fort Lauderdale Shamrock 4-Mile Run will be taking place on Saturday March 13th. You can register by clicking the link here. Along with the 4-mile run, many of your local Irish restaurants and Pubs will be open to the public to commemorate the day! In Orlando, you can celebrate St Patrick’s day with the Dream Finders Homes Lucky Charm 5K. For our craft beer drinkers, we do have many Pub Crawls throughout the city, check out the website and choose your favorite one. Don’t forget to follow CDC guidelines and MASK UP!
