Greetings from C. Darby Ulery, founder of "Let's Go! Fairhope," events-related newsletter, calendar and website resource for Fairhope, Alabama.

This might be our biggest newsletter yet!

At 3 PM on Monday, across the country, many will be observing a National Moment of Remembrance. To learn more about this tradition, find the May 2000 White House National Moment of Remembrance memorandum here.

Don't forget government offices and banks will be closed tomorrow in honor of Memorial Day. Let's Go! Fairhope hopes everyone has a meaningful Memorial Day holiday as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

Choose "View entire message" below, or view from the website, so you don't miss anything below including the Jacob Hall Memorial Music Grant deadline info and important Save-the-Date notice at the bottom.

Thank you to all who came out Thursday evening to celebrate Let's Go! Fairhope's 1-year anniversary. There were at least 15 OTHER EVENTS happening simultaneously across the community, so we were thrilled to see around 100 folks, and pleased to be able to send $50 to The Baldwin Family Village Foundation from donations collected at the door.

We are grateful to the Bay Business News for sponsoring our delicious scoops of ice cream, and to Cammie's Old Dutch Ice Cream Shoppe 3 for hosting us. Thank you!

Shout-out to Doreen Brasseaux for her gift to Let's Go! Fairhope last Sunday. Doreen will be sponsoring our email platform expenses for June. Thank you, Doreen! She describes herself as a "Resident who appreciates the communications so I don't miss a thing!"

We couldn't do this without readers and community members like YOU who are following and submitting information and support. Please help us continue the community events-related information project here.

Thank you!

Events-News Notes

There is a Fairhope Compost Project underway, with a "Vermicomposting Workshop" scheduled for June 5 at FEEF's The Pavilion at the Nest.

Fairhope-based musician Molly Thomas released a new single last week. Check out her "Even the Strong" via YouTube music video or various streaming options. "This song is really special to me — It's about the idea that even in strength, we all need someone to lean on." - Molly Thomas

165 events have - will be* - uploaded this week!

Here's how it (usually*) works:

1) This newsletter features some of these.

2) The printable black-and-white list includes more.

3) The website with searchable electronic calendar contains even MORE.*

*5/25/25 Note:

Our seasoned readers know for the past 53 weeks, ~120-160 events have been uploaded to the searchable electronic calendar every Sunday. Due to technical difficulties with the events import feature of our website, there will be a slight delay in some of these events being populated into the searchable electronic calendar. In the meantime, please refer to the printable events list in addition to this newsletter for a variety of happenings while the issue is resolved. "Let's Go!"
