Even When I Don't See You.... 1/19/22

After enduring another stressful day of life on planet earth last week, I wearily trod bed ward.
I could “SEE” in my natural eye nothing good on the horizon and no ray of sunshine peeking through my clouds.
It seemed liked the harder I tried the worse it got!!!!
That is when I “HEARD” the quiet, confirming Word from God:

A recent song I just learned to play and sing contains the lines:
“EVEN WHEN I DON'T SEE YOU YOU'RE WORKING!!
EVEN WHEN I DON'T FEEL YOU YOU'RE WORKING!!
MY GOD THAT IS WHO YOU ARE!!!”
Truer words cannot be spoken!!!
I call to remembrance a TRUE story I experienced some 19 plus years ago.
Little Amanda had just been diagnosed by two neurologists at Kennestone Hospital as beeing DEAD-D-E-A-D-DEAD...............BRAIN DEAD-NO BRAIN WAVES!!!!!!!
Hopeless, I immediately got on the phone to inform my family, friends and Church the sad, sad news and began to plan out her funeral arraigements.
I made one of my first calls to a beloved sister and mighty man/woman of God, Ms. Linda LaFever.
It was she who shattered by lack of faith by replying to me:
“PASTOR DOUG, AREN'T YOU GLAD THAT WE DO NOT LIVE BY FACT!!
WE LIVE BY FAITH-AMANDA BEING DEAD IS MERELY A FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
And guess what-It is almost 19 years that little Amanda is STILL alive-PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You talk about DARK-My whole world was shattered!!!
Fast forward to today-little changes in MY life day to day.
OFTENTIMES I go to bed with little or no hope and arise the same.
I “SEE” with my physical eyes NO change whatsoever in my too often dreary days and nights.
I even have tried lately to watch some popular TV series and found them-SADLY-to be almost equal to the DEPRESSING nightly “news” channels and talking heads.
I HAVE TO BELIEVE-
“EVEN WHEN I DON'T SEE YOU YOU'RE WORKING!!
EVEN WHEN I DON'T FEEL YOU YOU'RE WORKING!!
MY GOD THAT IS WHO YOU ARE!!!”
Beloved, I have NO CLUE as to HOW, WHEN, OR WHERE God is gonna' move on MY behalf!!!
I sho-nuff don't see it coming!!!
I DO know however, as a beloved friend spoke to me today- “GOD HAS DONE IT FOR ME IN THE PAST!!!!”
Today, I PRAY that both you and me can REMEMBER what God HAS done for us and somehow hang on the the PROMISE that “HE'LL DO IT AGAIN!!!!!”
Again, “I have NO CLUE as to HOW, WHEN, OR WHERE God is gonna' move on MY behalf!!!
Luke 18:1-8 (KJV)
1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?
I KNOW many of you today “feel me” in these humble yet HONEST words I write......
Just know I am in that same proverbial boat WITH you and I am earnestly PRAYING for and with you today!!!
James 5:16 (KJV)
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
“THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH!!!”
That is ALL my HOPE!!!
