Greetings!
One of the greatest privileges of my role is having the opportunity to recognize the incredible people who make our mission possible.
On July 23, we gathered at the beautiful Oxnard Historic Farm Park for our 71st Annual Evening of Recognition & Board Installation Dinner to celebrate the staff, volunteers, board members, and donors whose dedication ensures our Clubs remain safe, inspiring, and empowering places for young people. It was a heartwarming evening filled with gratitude, celebration, and excitement for the future.
As I reflected on the past year, I was reminded that every milestone we achieved was made possible by the people who believe in our mission. From celebrating transformational growth and new opportunities for our youth to navigating challenges with resilience, our focus never wavered: providing every child with a safe place to belong, caring mentors, and opportunities to reach their full potential. None of this would be possible without the unwavering commitment of our staff, volunteers, board members, donors, and community partners.
A special highlight of the evening was installing our new Board Chair, Rigoberto Vargas, while expressing our heartfelt appreciation to outgoing Board Chair Dr. Tracy Blois for her exceptional leadership and years of dedicated service. Thank you, Tracy, for your lasting impact, and thank you, Rigo, for stepping into this important leadership role. I know our organization and the young people we serve are in great hands.
