Weekly Reading
On Tuesday a draft Public Administration Government Affairs Disciplinary Action Law 《中华人民共和国公职人员政务处分法(草案)》was published for public comment. The text is long and dry, but in our opinion the interesting part is the list of punishable behavior. See the third section 违法行为及其适用的处分  for the list of punishable acts (articles 30-44). It tells you a lot about the types of problems the government has been dealing with and still consider a threat.
俗语 from Xi Jinping's Speeches

Meaning: to have a whole new level of respect for sb or sth; to sit up and take notice (of sb's improved performance, etc.)

Original: “70年来,全国各族人民同心同德、艰苦奋斗,取得了令世界刮目相看的伟大成就。”
