GCSSA Year-End Luncheon Highlights Legislative Updates and Ongoing Support for Public Education

On Friday, June 13, GCSSA hosted its

Year-End Luncheon Celebration and Legislative Update at the scenic LockKeepers in Valley View. The event served as a meaningful close to the school year, bringing together district leaders from across the region for networking, reflection, and vital updates on statewide education policy.

The afternoon began with a registration and lunch, followed by an informative program. Attendees heard from Dr. David Axner, Executive Director of BASA, and Paul Imhoff, Director of Governmental Relations at BASA, who delivered an insightful presentation on the latest legislative issues affecting public education in Ohio. Their update covered key topics such as school funding, accountability measures, and proposed budget and levy limitations that shape the educational landscape.

This event highlighted GCSSA’s ongoing commitment to support public education and keep its members informed and engaged. By partnering with BASA and other statewide organizations, GCSSA ensures that superintendents are equipped with timely, accurate legislative information that supports informed decision-making at the district level. Collaboration and legislative awareness remain core pillars of GCSSA’s mission to support educational leaders and champion quality education for all students.

We thank all who joined us for this informative and energizing event—and for your continued dedication to leadership and collaboration in education.
