In 2012 Governor Cuomo unveiled New York State's "Path Through History," a statewide initiative that links historically and culturally significant sites, locations and events throughout New York State. This effort to highlight our rich heritage aims to not only showcase the state's history and cultural significance, but also promote tourism and economic development in communities across the state.
Path Through History Weekend will be held this year
in two seasons:
Spring - on Father's Day weekend (June 17-18, 2017)
Fall - on Columbus Day weekend (October 7-9, 2017)
Host sites can
participate in one or both of the weekends; there is no obligation to participate in both.
We welcome your partnership as we work together to showcase New York State's unparalleled history.
If your organization is holding an event during these time frames that connects with New York State history, we encourage you to participate so we can include it in our promotional efforts.

Thank you in advance for participating in this exciting event. Path Through History Weekend would not be possible without the efforts of countless organizations throughout the state working hard to deliver programming that helps connect people to New York State's history!
