Love is in the air, and so are the birds! Flocks of ducks and other species fill the sky, so much at times, it looks like something out of an Alfred Hitchcock movie! But it’s nothing sinister, it’s the great bird migration back north. Luckily, we have plenty of birds that decide to stay in the Sebastian River Area year round.
A scenic but short ride to the town of Fellsmere and you’ll find a quiet landscape perfect for birders looking for that rare moment to snap a photo. The Stick Marsh, as it’s locally known, is a great place for birdwatching and fresh water fishing. Make sure to visit Fellsmere Fishing Headquarters and register for the Weekend Warriors Fishing Tournament. Check out this month's Tourism Partner Spotlight to learn more.
