Moraga Art Gallery
"Seeing Differently"
Featuring member artist:
➡ Guest artist, Judith Rohrer, acrylic paintings
➡ Wenda Pyman, photographer
A new art exhibit arriving on June 11th - August 24th, Moraga Art Gallery, 432 Center Street, the Rheem Shopping Center, the gallery is open from 12pm to 5:00pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
Judith Rohrer's collection of fanciful acrylic paintings is a visual chronicle of her life over the last several years. Sometimes it tells a story, other times it is an emotional response to what's happening in her life.
| |
Wenda Pyman's photography evokes the work of, among others, the immortal Ansel Adams and Eliot Porter. For her, it’s not just about light, composition or location, but finding harmony and balance between color, lines, textures and rhythmic patterns.
On Saturday, June 28, from 5pm to 7pm, the public is cordially invited to a free reception to meet the artists, browse the collection, enjoy light snacks, wine, and live music. Visit moragaartgallery.com or call (925)376-5407 for more information.

Friends of the Lafayette Library & Learning Center
Join Sweet Thursday Author Series on June 12!
Black Tunnel White Magic by Rick Jackson and Matt McGough tell the true story of a murder in cold blood, deception, and betrayal, and a city at the brink, set forth by the only man who could tell it. In June 1990, Ronald Baker, a straight-A UCLA student, was found repeatedly stabbed to death near Spann Ranch, where Charles Manson and his followers once lived. Detective Rick Jackson and his partner, Frank Garcia, were assigned the case. The facts made no sense. Who had a motive to kil Ron Baker in such a grisly manner? Was the proximity to the Manson Ranch related to the murder? And what about the pentagram pendant Ron wore around his neck? Rick Jackson delivers a shocking and immersive look into the one case he could never let go.
Join the Sweet Thursday Author Series on Thursday, June 12 at 7:00 pm in the DTCH at the Lafayette Library to hear authors, Rick Jackson and Matt McGough.
Register to attend in person at tinyurl.com/sweet-June2025. The doors will open at 6:30 pm for coffee and sweets and books will be available for purchase. This program is presented by The Friends of the Lafayette Library.
