City Budget

Measure A is a voter-approved half-cent sales tax dedicated to enhancing public safety in the City of Chula Vista.

Revenue from this tax is managed through the Measure A Sales Tax Fund, which ensures transparency and accountability for all spending related to police, fire, and emergency services.

This investment helps provide the resources needed to keep our community safe.

Sneak Peek: New Terminal 1 at SAN!

After beginning construction in November 2021, San Diego International Airport’s new $3.8 billion Terminal 1 will open to the public on September 22, 2025.

The terminal will feature upgraded food and retail concessions, a modernized baggage system, and will initially open with 19 gates—expanding to 30 gates by 2028.
