Students are selected in a highly competitive audition process each fall; once selected they sing alongside and are mentored by professional singers from the Chorale.
The 2022 Project will be conducted by Carolyn Myers. Ms. Myers, who has enjoyed a long career as a music educator, served as the supervisor of music education for the Chesapeake Public Schools and the director of choral music at Great Bridge High School, Chesapeake. She was also a faculty member at East Carolina University’s School of Music, where she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees.
