On Sunday, January March 24, the At the Parish House performance series of Middleburg's Emmanuel Church will showcase the keyboard brilliance of pianist Brian Woods. He has emerged as a promising soloist and collaborator in the United States and abroad, and is currently studying with John O'Conor at Shenandoah Conservatory.  Reservations are recommended but not required (540) 687-6297.  A donation of $10 is suggested but not required; all are welcome.

Wednesday, March 27, 6:30-8:30 pm - Join your community for a meeting to discuss the future of Loudoun County at the Middleburg Community Center.  The draft of the Loudoun County 2040 Plan will impact the quality of life for Loudoun.  Hear a detailed discussion of the proposals and learn how to voice your opinions.  For more info visit pecva.org  

Saturday, March 30, 8 am - 1 pm   - 2019 Middleburg HEALth Fair & 5K at the Middleburg Community Center.  The HEALth Fair celebrates Middleburg's adoption of the National Healthy Eating and Active Living (HEAL) resolution (www.healcitiescampaign.org), and will be held in the Ballroom and Terrace Room of the Middleburg Community Center.

Saturday, April 27 - National Drug Take-Back Day and Used Battery Collection at the Town Office parking lot.  Keep old drugs and batteries from affecting our water by recycling them safely.  Sponsored by the Middleburg Police Department and the Go Green Committee.

CLASSES ONGOING:

Fitness Classes at Salamander Resort & Spa
All fitness classes at Salamander Resort & Spa are now open to the public! Classes are $20 for single class purchase or enjoy 10 classes at $180. Classes include the use of the resort's Fitness Center, indoor pool and sauna for one-hour prior or one-hour after their scheduled fitness class. For the month of February, any new guests can enjoy two classes for $22. Offer must be used by February 28. Reservations can be made by calling 540.326.4060.

Middleburg Legion Post 295

The American Legion is 100 years old this year.  Our Middleburg Chapter is proud to say that we were represented at the founding of the Legion in Paris, 1919.  We would like to welcome all eligible service men and women to become a member.  The Middleburg Legion Post 295 is located on The Plains Road, just 1000 ft. south of town.  We meet on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7 pm.

Are you feeling the luck of the Irish? Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, try your luck at geocaching to find our multiple pots of gold hidden on the property. Each caching station contains a grand prize and special gold coins. The grand prize will go to the first team to reach the caching station. Davide Palluda owns and operates "Ristorante All'Enoteca", annexed to the Enoteca Regionale del Roero, in Canale and the "DP" Laboratory. In 2000, he was elected best young chef of the year by the Espresso Guide and was awarded a Michelin star, which he has never lost. He is acknowledged as being one of the best Italian chefs.

Mosby Heritage Area Association

The Mosby Heritage Area Association announcing its April 6 th symposium focusing on the Great Chief Justice (and Fauquier native) John Marshall. "Life and Legacy of John Marshall, The Great Chief Justice" will take place at historic Llangollen Farm near Upperville, an estate once owned by the Marshall family. www.mosbyheritagearea.org/events for more info.
