Fossil Fuel Treaty

Philadelphia City Council is working in collaboration with the Fossil Fuel Treaty inviting people from the community to support their movement to help lessen the effects of climate change.

Open Streets West Walnut
September 15, 22 and 29, 2024

With support from Rittenhouse Row and the City of Philadelphia, one of the city's most popular shopping and dining destinations is being transformed. 18th Street (from Locust to Chestnut) and Walnut Street (from 15th to 19th) will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic, creating a pedestrian-friendly experience.
Remaining fall dates include: Sundays, September 15, 22 and 29.
Time: 10 am - 5 pm

The Vision For Roosevelt Blvd Tour

Check out the vision of the future of Roosevelt Boulevard. This 12 lane highway runs through northeast Philadelphia, carrying 90,000 vehicles and 20,000 people via bus per day.
The public is invited to join a transit tour starting and ending at 17 & Race Streets with Dim-Sum lunch at China Gourmet at 2842 St. Vincent St.

Philly Full Moon Ride

Have you ever taken a Harvest Moon Bike Ride? Now is the time. A group will gather at the Rocky Steps around 8:30 pm and gets rolling around 9 pm.
The idea is to ride at night under the moon. This group tries to ride anywhere from 10 to 15 miles long and go about 12 to 14 mph. There will be a mid point rest stop and catch up stops along the ride. That way no one will be left behind. Cycle to more info here.
