Huntingdon County is celebrating 40 years of Raystown Lake fun with a full weekend of activity and entertainment lake-wide June 6-7-8, 2014. Events include Raystown Dam tours, Raystown history programs, Impact Media "collecting Raystown memories" videos, sightseeing cruises, karaoke cruise, dinner cruise, battle of the bands at the Seven Points Amphitheater sponsored by the Friends of Raystown Lake and local businesses, Fireworks at the Beach sponsored by Seven Points Marina (Raystown Lake Seven Points Recreation Area beach), DJ at the Lighthouse Seven Points Beach concession, geocaching, dance party and trivia contest at Lake Raystown Resort - An RVC Outdoor Destination, an informal kayak event and paddleboarding demonstration. #Raystown40.

Experience the sound of pounding hooves, the sight of high intensity performances, and the thrill of the wild west at the Central PA Rodeo! Come to the Huntingdon County Fairgrounds from Friday, June 13 to Sunday, June 15 to see some wild rodeo action! The rodeo begins at 7:30pm but the gates will open three hours prior to the event. Procedes will benefit St. Matthew School in Tyrone. The three-day rodeo event will feature the seven traditional rodeo events: bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, womens barrel racing, and bull riding. The two sanctioning bodies of the event are the American Professional Rodeo Association (APRA) and the International Professional Rodeo Association (IPRA). This year, we are expecting to draw more than 200 contestants who will be competing for $7,000 in prize money and to improve their individual standings in each rodeo associations standings.
