Detour Route: Illinois Route 60 to Schank Avenue to Illinois Route 176 to Gilmer Road. Local traffic will have access from Erhart Road north to the construction zone. The road will be closed to all through traffic at the construction zone.

If you're thinking about applying fertilizer to your lawn and garden areas mid-summer, please take a minute to read the label and consider using a fertilizer with a slow-releasing, very low amount of phosphorus and/or nitrogen or find a fertilizer without a heavy concentration of either of these nutrients. Some fertilizers containing heavier amounts of these elements can contribute to environmentally-damaging nutrient pollution if not properly used. When too much fertilizer is applied or is applied at the wrong time—such as right before it rains—most of it is washed away and ends up in our local waterways. Excess fertilizer containing phosphorus and nitrogen can easily runoff yards and sidewalks into local streams, retention basins, and lakes causing toxic algal blooms that are harmful to aquatic life.
