Greetings!
This is a quick one. I wanted to thank everyone for you kind emails in the past few weeks following my loss of Brando. I haven't had a chance to respond to all of them, but they each meant a lot to me, and it was wonderful to be reminded of how many lives he touched.
I also wanted to give a quick heads up for some upcoming events, including this weekend in Los Angeles, Jazz Fest in New Orleans and a pocket of events in New England.
On Saturday April 20th I'll be in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. My panel (with a cat cartoonist and a chicken memoirist) is at 3:30 at the Salvatori Computer Science Center and tickets are free, but required. You can get them online and I imagine there may be some available at the event.
On Saturday May 4th, I'll be in New Orleans at the Jazz Festival, signing books at 2pm.
In May I'm zipping up to New England for several events:
Friday May 10th, I'll be the guest speaker at the Concord SPCA's annual Dinner with the Animals. Apparently this event is about 80% sold out, so if you are planning to attend, buy your tickets now.
Saturday, May 11th, I'll be joining photographer Traer Scott (Newborn Puppies) for a signing at Fetch in Portland Maine from 1-3pm.
And Sunday May 12th, its back to Boston for an event at Fish and Bone on Newbury Street. One again I'll be joining Traer Scott and Lilly the Hero Pit Bull.
