Have Your Quilt Appraised by

AQS Certified Quilt Appraiser Dawn Hunt!

Have you ever considered having your quilt project appraised? Now is the perfect time! Your quilt has value, be it new, old, work of art, flea market find or family heirloom… but just how much? An appraisal of your quilt will provide you with the answer.

There are three basic types of appraisals:

  1. Insurance - to determine the replacement value of your quilt or quilted garment.
  2. Market Value - to assist in establishing asking prices between knowledgeable buyers and sellers.
  3. Donation or Raffle - to establish the Fair Market Value for quilts donated or raffled.

There is an extensive list of benefits listed for having your quilts appraised on Dawn’s fibrework.com website found HERE.

The appraisal process is not a critique of your work. You do not need to be present to have your quilt appraised, but if you do wish to be present your appointment will be 30 minutes per quilt. The written report will be mailed to you within two weeks of your appointment.
