Message from Principal Hamilton

Dear Everest Parents,

Our school is joyfully preparing for Christmas! I love our Everest school traditions: lighting the Advent Wreath, decorating classroom doors and trees, supporting our Giving Tree, preparing for our Christmas pageants. Some classes have traditions like decorating gingerbread houses or bringing in the baby Jesus from our home nativity scenes for a special blessing.

Thank you to the many parents who help make these traditions happen this past week!

  • The Gubala family for preparing the beautiful nativity scene in the chapel
  • Mr. Hacek and Mr. Thompson for assisting Jan with setting up the stages for our student performances
  • The Flores family for preparing the kindergarten gingerbread houses
  • Our room ambassadors for decorating classroom doors

This week, students are taking MAP tests in math and reading. As I’ve stated previously, students who are absent during testing days will be asked to come in before school to make up their tests. I will email families tomorrow with a sign-up to choose a make-up date.

As we continue our Advent journey, let us ask Jesus to fill our hearts with calm and help us to find quiet trust in His love:

Dear Jesus, fill our hearts with your peace this week. Help us be kind, forgive others, and make room for you in our hearts, just like St. John the Baptist prepared the way for you. Amen.

Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

Candy Hamilton

Prayer Intentions

→ For an increase in the virtue of sincerity: May our students learn to live with honesty and authenticity in their words and actions. Inspire them to speak truth with kindness, to act with integrity even when no one is watching, and to let their intentions reflect goodness and love. Help them build relationships rooted in trust and transparency, free from pretense or fear. Holy Spirit, guide them to embrace sincerity so they may grow in clarity of heart, stronger character, and a deeper love for God and neighbor.

Everest Academy is an independent PK-8th grade Catholic school committed to providing the highest quality education while cultivating the whole human person: intellectually, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically. Our mission is to form Christian leaders who are eager to exercise their leadership with a spirit of joy and service in order to impact culture and transform society.
