Message from Principal Hamilton

Dear Everest Parents,

We’ve officially completed the first term of the year—thank you for all your support along the way!

Congratulations to our middle school students named to the Term 1 Honor Roll. To qualify, students must meet both academic and formation expectations:

  • Honor Roll: All A or B grades in core subjects and an “at the line” formation grade (2.0).
  • High Honor Roll: All A grades in core subjects and an “above the line” formation grade (2.1).
  • Principal’s Honor Roll: All A+ grades in core subjects and an “above the line” formation grade (2.2).

As we continue this virtue through our Giving Tree, please consider picking up a few extra groceries to support our local food pantry. Feeding the hungry is a meaningful way to live the corporal works of mercy. See the Giving Tree calendar below.

Our new virtue of the month is Temperance—the strength that helps us seek balance, practice self-discipline, and use God’s gifts wisely. We encourage families to talk with their children about simple ways to practice moderation at home and school.

Reminders:

  • The Cognia Parent Survey closes tomorrow, December 5. Please see the links below to participate.
  • Winter MAP Testing (Math and Reading) will take place December 9–11. A good night’s sleep and healthy meals make a big difference!
  • Sign up for Breakfast in Bethlehem before the December 9 deadline.

Thank you for your partnership and continued support. Wishing you a grace-filled week!

Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

Candy Hamilton

Prayer Intentions

→ For an increase in the virtue of temperance: May our students learn to practice self control in their words, actions, and desires, choosing what is good and right even when it is difficult. Inspire them to develop balance in their daily lives — in their friendships, studies, use of technology, and emotional responses — so they may grow in freedom and inner peace. Holy Spirit, help them cultivate the virtue of temperance that leads to harmony, maturity, and a deeper love for God and neighbor.

Everest Academy is an independent PK-8th grade Catholic school committed to providing the highest quality education while cultivating the whole human person: intellectually, humanly, spiritually, and apostolically. Our mission is to form Christian leaders who are eager to exercise their leadership with a spirit of joy and service in order to impact culture and transform society.
