Message from Principal Hamilton

Dear Everest Parents,

Between last week’s Science Fair and this week’s Spelling Bee, there is so much to celebrate! Thank you again to all of the parents who volunteered to help with the Open House, Science Fair judging, Teacher Appreciation, and Student Appreciation! Your generosity truly made these events special. Be sure to check out my Principal Pics for more highlights from last week’s festivities.

I would also like to remind you that Parent-Teacher Conferences are next week. These meetings are an important opportunity for you to connect with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress. Middle schoolers are expected to attend with their parents in school uniform. Our teachers have made a special effort to prepare for these conferences. I encourage you to take advantage of this time to partner in supporting your child’s success.

Now, to the celebrations!

Congratulations to our Science Fair winners! A special thank you to Mrs. Kmetty and Mrs. Abramic for guiding our middle school students from idea to completion, and to Mrs. Tellefsen for helping to organize such a well-run event. Thank you to the volunteers and high school science honors students - including alumni - who served as judges.

Congratulations to these students who qualified to compete in the Regional Science Fair to be held at North Central College in March!

Congratulations to our January Knights of Virtue, students and teachers alike, who exemplified the virtue of HOPE by giving witness to trusting in God’s plan and encouraging others to hope in God.

Finally, Go Knights! Congratulations to our 5th/6th boys on this week’s victory! Come cheer on both boys’ teams this Friday at 5:00 and 6:00pm. Wear RED to show your LOVE for our Knights. Queen of Victory, pray for us!

Rejoicing in gratitude for God's blessings,

Candy Hamilton

Prayer Intentions

→ For the newly elected General Director of the Legionaries of Christ, Fr. Carlos Gutiérrez López, LC - may God bless him and the congregation in this new stage of their mission to make the Kingdom of Christ present in today's world.

→ For all Catholic schools, especially Everest, that we may be places where we learn to listen to God’s call and follow Him with joy

→ In thanksgiving for our faculty and staff, may God give them the graces they need to help our students grow in God’s love
